Tesla uses the same NFC technology for its key card that the PAGO uses to pay. With the Tesla key function, your ring behaves towards your Tesla exactly like a key card, except you never have to look for it.

The Tesla key function is available for all PAGO Classic rings (7.2 mm) as a one-time option for €49, simply tick it when ordering.

Open the key menu
On your Tesla touchscreen: Controls → Locks → Add key.
Place the ring
Hold your PAGO to the card reader on the center console, exactly where the key card usually goes.
Confirm with your key card
Confirm the new key once with your key card, done. From now on, your hand is enough.

Which Tesla models does the ring work with?
The PAGO with Tesla key function is compatible with all Tesla Model 3 and Model Y as well as Model S and Model X from model year 2021. The ring behaves towards the vehicle like a Tesla key card.
How much does the Tesla ring cost?
You choose one of the five Classic rings (from €119) and tick the Tesla key function for a one-time €49 when ordering. There is no subscription and no running costs.
How do I set up the ring as a Tesla key?
On your Tesla touchscreen: Controls → Locks → Add key. Then hold the ring to the card reader on the center console and confirm the new key once with your key card. It takes about two minutes.
Can I still pay with the ring?
Yes. The Tesla key function comes in addition to the payment function. Your PAGO still pays contactless with any Visa and Mastercard, wherever credit cards are accepted contactless.
Do I still need my key card?
Keep it as a backup, for example at home. In everyday life, the ring fully replaces the key card: unlock, start, lock.
Does the ring need a battery?
No. The PAGO works via NFC entirely without a battery and without charging, just like a key card, only more convenient.
What happens if I lose the ring?
Simply remove the ring from the key list in your Tesla (Controls → Locks) and it can no longer open the vehicle. You block the linked payment card with one click in the PAGOPACE app.
